Martin Pothier
My career path has always been characterized by my wish to be of help, from my first career in Social rehabilitation to my 18-year run (so far…) as a Medical translator. As Clinical Coordinator of a Montreal halfway house in the early 90s, part of my job was to proofread and sometimes translate the various reports produced by the counselors: that’s where my interest in Translation/Revision blossomed. It eventually led me to pursue a formal education in Translation: 2 years of training at the University of Montreal and 3 years of intensive freelance work in a Toronto agency, during which I developed an interest and an expertise in the Health sector. Since 2011, I am proud to put my years of experience at the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada and the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Canada at the service of the Canadian Journal of Midwifery Research & Practice.
